Gerald Wayne Cross, 74, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at his home.
He was born January 19, 1948, in Sedalia, MO, a son of Robert Burk “Bob” Cross, Sr. and Frances E. Ratje.
Gerald was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and honorably served in the United States Army. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and later the Union Pacific Railroad. Gerald enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and watching Western Movies.
Survivors include one daughter, Amber Bass (Rodney), of Jefferson City, MO; one brother, Bob Cross, Jr. (Ruth) of Sedalia, MO; one sister, Chris Mathews (Ron) of Smithton, MO; three grandchildren, Xavier Bass, Angel Simmons, and Neal Mathews; one great-granddaughter, Emberly Simmons, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Kay Neth.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Crown Hill Cemetery.
