Gertrude Ann “Trudy” Collins, 79, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at her home.
She was born November 29, 1944, in Salina, KS, daughter of Charles Scott Hibbs and Myrtle (Stanley) Hibbs.
On October 4, 1969, she was united in marriage to Edward Eugene Collins, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2000.
Trudy worked for Lamy’s Manufacturing and ABM. She enjoyed fishing, knitting, working puzzles, and reading.
Surviving are two daughters, Becky Hardesty (Kevin), of Sedalia, and Cris Thomas (John), of Lake Lotawana; five grandchildren, Robbi O’Neill, Kendra Spain, Téa Thomas-Lowe, Jaken Thomas, and Delaney Thomas; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Hibbs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
