Glenda Susan Byrd, age 59, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at her home.
She was born August 15, 1958, in Versailles, MO, to Omar and Marguerite Uptegrove.
She is survived by three sisters, one step-sister and four brothers: Linda David, of Sedalia, Eva Wilson, of Versailles, Ila Keele, of Sedalia, Louise Love, of the State of California, James Uptegrove, of Cole Camp, Raymond Uptegrove, of Jefferson City, Donald Uptegrove and wife Jeri, of Dresden, and Ronald Uptegrove, of Sedalia; three children, Jason Uptegrove and partner Sarah Thomas, April Edgar and partner Charlie Ford, and Stacy Uptegrove, all of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Jaydon Uptegrove, Michaela and Kaytlyn Garrett, Saharah and Amariah Edgar, all of Sedalia.
On December 17, 1988, in Marshall Junction, she was united in marriage to David W. Byrd, who survives of the home.
Glenda worked for Cookbook Publishers until it closed and then for O’Reilly Auto Parts for eleven years until her illness.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with Jeff Page officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at the Central Missouri Electric Co-op building on north 65.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
