Gregory James Faust, 59, of Sedalia, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

He was born March 18, 1964, in Akron, OH, a son of Albert Faust and Jean (Probert) Faust Gallagher.

Greg was a 1982 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He attended Central Methodist College and was a member of Alpha Phi Gamma fraternity.

During his high school years, Greg was involved in New Score Singers, wrestling, track and drama. He sat first chair French horn in high school and college; and played in the Sedalia Symphony. He was a member of the Kansas City Suburban Swim League.

In his youth, Greg was active in Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, Heart of America Council and received many merit badges, earning the rank of Life Scout.

He worked as a purchasing agent in Springfield and Kansas City.

Greg is survived by his mother, Jean Gallagher, of Sedalia; three siblings, Dr. Sabrina Zuniga, Ph.D. (Juan), of Toronto, CA, Stephanie Sherrill, MBA (Rustin), of Ft. Mill, SC and Dr. Jeffery Faust, M.D. (Linda), of Greenville, SC; and five nieces and nephews, Nicolas, Riley, Kennedy, Henry and Owen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Faust, who passed away in 1998; and stepfather, Tony Gallagher, who passed away in 2016.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 29, 2023 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 19856 Hwy Y, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Chris Guffey officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 10:00 am until service time at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Sedalia Symphony in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
