Gregory J. Thompson

Gregory James Thompson of Lincoln, Missouri, born in Whiteville, North Carolina on December 25,1955, passed away from complications of COVID-19 on January 6, 2022. He was 66 years old.

Greg was the son of the late William Luther Thompson and Rachel Eloise (Williamson) Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pamela J Thompson, brother Steven Ray Thompson, daughter Felicia Michelle Powell, son Gregory James Thompson II, stepdaughter Brandy Lee Kemper, stepson Christopher James Beshears, and thirteen grandchildren.

Greg’s greatest love was his family. He enjoyed traveling with his friends and family, hunting, fishing, eating oysters and his Jeep life. Greg was also proud to be a volunteer First Responder, Badge #578, for Lakeview Heights Fire Protection District.

On Saturday, January 15, 2021, a visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:30pm and a memorial service at 2:30pm at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Lakeview Heights Fire Protection District in care of the funeral home.
