Harold Dean Jackson, 76, of Sedalia, died Sunday, February 1, 2015, at his home.
He was born October 25, 1938, in Tibbetts, MO, son of Charles Thomas and Josephine Jesse Jackson. On August 7, 1971, in Moberly, he married Twyla Zaner, who preceded him in death on March 5, 2009.
Mr. Jackson retired as plant engineer at Waterloo Industries. He was a member of the Shriner’s Club, Scottish Rite, Moose Lodge 1494, Sedalia Country Club and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He had served on the Sedalia City Council. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.
Surviving are two daughters, Becky Bradds (Vince), of Moberly, and Cheryl Johnson (Keith), of Maryville; a son, Chris Jackson (Lauri), of Gravois Mills; his mother, Josephine Jackson, of Maryville; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Cox (Richard), of Savannah, GA, and Carol Klindt (Richard), of Maryville; and a cousin, JoAnn.
In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Buddy.
Funeral and Masonic services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating.
Casket bearers will be Sedalia Shrine Club Fun Kor.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital.
