Harold R. Yeager, 88, of rural Sedalia, passed away Saturday, 4 August 2018, at his home.
He was born 3 June 1930 in Sedalia, MO, son of Thomas G. Yeager and Olive G. Gregory Yeager.
On 12 June 1953 he was married to Hollis D. Lane, who passed away 17 December 2009. He was a 42 year veteran.
Surviving are three children, Debra J. Easley, of Sedalia, Christopher M. Yeager (Melinda), of Sedalia, and Rebekah L. Stone (David), of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Samuel T. Easley (Angie), Amanda K. Watson (Jeremy), Andrew R. Yeager, Sarah E. Stone-Reynolds and Erica A. Stone; six great-grandchildren, Logan A. Easley, Oliver S. Centeno, Gabriel J. Easley, Henry J. Watson, Jeremiah G. Reynolds and Georgia R. Watson; and his loyal four-legged companion, Sally.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Griffin officiating.
Casket bearers will be David K. Stone, Andrew R. Yeager, Samuel T. Easley, Danny Yeager, Tom Monsees and Kathy Lehigh-Bruner.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens, with full military honors by the U.S. Army.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Seeing Eye (which trains seeing eye dogs).
