In Loving Memory…
Harry John Heimsoth, 98, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
He was born November 16, 1914, in Cole Camp, son of Ernest J. and Mary Brandes Heimsoth. On July 27, 1941, in Cole Camp, he married Esther Marie Wilshusen, who preceded him in death on September 5, 1996.
Mr. Heimsoth was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where he served on the finance committee for many years. He retired from Cash Hardware after more than 30 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are three children: Martha Witte (John), of Sedalia, Arnie Heimsoth (Joan), of Grinnell, IA, and Ernie Heimsoth, of Sedalia; four grandchildren: Johnny Witte, Sara Lukkasson, Eric Heimsoth and Alex Heimsoth.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Heimsoth; a brother, Earl Heimsoth; and a sister, Opal Heimsoth.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeremy Freeman officiating.
Casket bearers will be Johnny Witte, Eric Heimsoth, Alex Heimsoth and Brian Lukkasson.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.
