Helen P. “Penny” Williams, 78, of Green Ridge, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at her home.
She was born February 1, 1940, in Pettis County, daughter of John William Sublett and Maleta (Nieburger) Sublett.
On July 2, 1966, in Sedalia, she was married to Jerry W. Williams.
Penny graduated from Cole Camp High School in 1958. She worked at Walmart for 20 years. After retiring, she enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting things. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids. Penny had a good sense of humor and will be remembered as a loving and kind lady. She was always there to help you if you needed anything. She was a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Jerry, of the home; three sons, Jeff Williams (Christy), of Jackson, GA, Merl E. Williams, of Jefferson City, and Andrew K. Williams (Shelly), of Sedalia; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, David Sublett; and two sisters, Christine Davis and Sherry Rose Ray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, J.W.; and a sister, Nina.
A celebration of Penny’s life will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Green Ridge Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
