Helen D. Prenger, 98, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born May 22, 1919, in Miller County, the daughter of Hugh and Dellie (Geir) Nibert.
In 1949, she was married to Norbert “Bud” Prenger, who died in 1985.
Helen was a Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed playing piano and cooking.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Tara Hubbard (Joseph), of Warrensburg; her grandson, Travis Prenger, of Houston, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and McKenzie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Phillip Prenger and John Randy Prenger; four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2018, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Father Mark Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
