Irene Borchers

Irene K. Borchers, 90, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born June 15, 1926, in Lincoln, daughter of Oscar and Katy (Meyer) Kullman.

On April 18, 1948, at Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, she was united in marriage to John R. Borchers.

Early in their marriage, Irene worked at Lamy Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of children, and will be remembered for her good heart.

In addition to her husband of 68 years, John, she is survived by a daughter, Linda Mosier, of Mesa, Arizona; a son, Larry Borchers, of Green Ridge; and four grandchildren, Wendy Mosier, Melissa Wirth (Michael), Kyle Borchers (Jessica), and Kent Borchers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeremy Freeman officiating.

Casket bearers will be Kyle Borchers, Kent Borchers, Allen Borchers, David Borchers, Mark Loesing and Karl Loesing.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Cole Camp.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran School.
