Ivan D. Laster, Jr.

Ivan Dale Laster, Jr., 47, of Sedalia, died Monday, June 21, 2021.

He was born December 17, 1973, in Waverly, son of Ivan Dale Sr. and Janis (Toliver) Laster.

Ivan attended Smith-Cotton High School. He worked in maintenance at Stanley Black and Decker.

He loved to barbecue and shoot guns. Ivan was friendly to everybody and liked to joke around. He knew a little bit about everything and liked to brag that he was a fountain of useless knowledge.

Ivan had been baptized in the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother, Janis Laster, of Sedalia; six children, Brian, Micheal, Jesse, Nicholas, Katelyn and Richard “RJ” Laster, all of Sedalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Travis Laster.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Marshall, MO.
