James Conley Harris, 88, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 27, 1926, in Pawnee, OK, son of Cedric G. and Theora Greer Harris. On January 11, 1952, in Cleveland, OK, he married Mary Ann Morrison, who survives of the home.
Mr. Harris retired from Howard Quarries after 28 years. He loved to fish, do yard work, and being outdoors. He was a family man and a very hard worker. He was known for his honesty and good nature.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, survivors include two sons, Craig Harris, of Sedalia, and Randy Harris, of Raytown; a sister, Betty Jones, of Terlton, OK; and two nephews, Monty Johnson and Trenton Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Johnson.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ted Francis officiating.
Honorary bearers will be Dennis and Erma Davis, and Beverly Reedy.
Private burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
