James Dean Turner, Sr., 63, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, at his home.
He was born June 14, 1959, at Whiteman Air Force Base, a son of James Wiley, Jr. and Thelma Frances “Sue” (Comfort) Turner.
He loved his family and Jesus Christ was his personal Lord and Savior. James was always eager to help others. Many knew of his talent and passion to help. He was very giving and had a particular passion for assisting the elderly and building anything his customers needed for their homes.
James could build anything that he wanted from the ground up. There wasn’t any problem that he couldn’t solve and he was extremely detailed and superior with accomplishing his endeavors.
James loved and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking and camping, as well as boating around the Missouri lakes. James loved to teach his interests to others from his beautiful paintings, to his renderings of complex engineered buildings with Auto CAD. James was a great storyteller and had a plethora of various experiences. He could get you to lean in and listen on the edge of your seat. He loved sports cars and motorcycles, and was one of the best drivers, resembling something out of the silver screen behind the wheel.
Survivors include one son, James Dean Turner, Jr. (Bethany) of Port Charlotte, FL; two grandchildren, Connor Turner and Lincoln Turner; one brother, Rick Turner (Melissa) of Sedalia; two sisters, Pam Warren (Robert) of Jefferson City, and Vicky Reynolds of Sedalia.
