James J. Byrnes, Sr.
James Joseph Byrnes Sr., 70, of Warrensburg, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.
He was born September 15, 1947, in New York City, the son of William and Eleanore Byrnes.
On October 27, 1969, in Rockville, Maryland, he was married to Linda Ann Little.
James proudly served his country in the Marine Corps from 1966-1970 during the Vietnam War. He was a stationary engineer with Teale Data in the state of California. He enjoyed working on computers and reading. He will be remembered as a good husband and father.
Including his wife of 48 years, he is survived by three children, Denise Johnson and husband Zech, of Windsor, James Byrnes, Jr. of St. Genevieve, and Danielle Byrnes, of Citrus Heights, CA; five grandchildren, Curtis, Zechariah, Cameron, Hawk, and Joseph; three sisters, Janet Weiland, Ann Saunders and Corrine Foster; and brother, Tom Byrnes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Erik; and his brother, William.
There are no services planned at this time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
