James Michael Faulconer, 64, of Kansas City MO, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born March 8, 1952, in Sedalia, son of James Wilford and Vivian (Duffer) Baugh.
James served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Constellation during the Vietnam War.
He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked as an analytical chemist. He was also a small business owner as a consultant and enjoyed his travels around the country.
James had a lake property at Truman Lake and enjoyed the outdoors there, fishing and boating with family and friends. He enjoyed building model trains, remote control boats and airplanes. He had a love for music, including playing 12 string guitar and country dancing.
Surviving are three children: Tonda Bailey, of Murrells Inlet, SC, Essie Faulconer, of Kansas City, and Kyle Faulconer, of Dallas, TX; a grandson, Zackery; his mother, Vivian Baugh, of Warrensburg; his sister, Kay Pratt, of Brownsburg, IN; and two brothers, Paul Faulconer, of Jefferson City, and Richard Faulconer, of Cocoa Beach, FL.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, with Jeff Page officiating. He will rest at County Line Stokeley Cemetery near La Monte, MO.
Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy.
