Flora Jane Barnett, 90, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020.
She was born April 28, 1929, in Cole Camp, Missouri, to the late John and Myrtle (Otten) Baldwin. At a very young age, Jane and her family moved to Sedalia where she spent the rest of her life.
On June 11, 1943, she married William Marriott. To this marriage was born one child, Shirley.
On August 7, 1988, she was married to Lee Barnett in Parkview Christian Church. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2020.
Jane attended Washington School and Smith-Cotton High School.
Her main occupation was that of shoe cutter at Town & Country Shoe Company. Jane’s hobbies were reading, quilt making and fishing.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lee, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Schroeder; a brother, Russell Baldwin; a sister, Bethel Bearce; and step-daughter, Susan Smith.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Jeffrey Schroeder, Landon Schroeder and Melissa Schroeder, all of Sedalia; son-in-law, Don Schroeder, of Hughesville; a sister, Delores Wade, of Sedalia; a step-daughter, Pam Belk, of Carthage; three grandchildren, Spencer Smith, Chris Smith and Katie Kingery; and nieces, Amy Fee and Wendy Leitch; great-nieces and nephew, Katie, Joey and Allison Fee.
A private graveside service will be held Friday, May 1, 2020, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
