Janet Lee Collister, 78, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at her home.
She was born November 14, 1942, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Loy Leo and Wilma Jean (Dotson) Austin.
Janet was a dietician at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She delighted in preparing special food requests from the hospital staff.
She had a gift for decorating and especially enjoyed the holidays. She loved hosting family holiday gatherings preparing food and decorating her home.
She is survived by three children, Tresa Killion (Richard), of Houstonia, Christy Stone, of Cole Camp, and Dwight Collister II (Sheila), of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Kalen, Sean, Tanner, Josh and Tristen; and one great-grandson, Oliver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Loy Austin and Loyce Love.
In keeping with Janet’s wishes, no service will be held.
The family wishes to acknowledge Crossroads Hospice and her caregiver, Sharon, for their compassion and care.
