Jean Evelyn Massengale, age 82, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs, MO.
Jean was born June 25, 1940, in Powsheik, IA, a daughter of William Henry and Ruth Evelyn (Paulson) Taylor, who preceded her in death.
Jean worked as a nurse’s aide and at Nordyne Manufacturing in Boonville, MO.
Survivors include five children, Douglas W. Massengale of Texas, Carla Williams of Sedalia, Sandy Utterback of Madison, MO, Mary Miller of Chouteau, OK, and Ronnie Massengale of Winfield, KS; eight grandchildren, Evelyn, Jason, Terri, Billy, Donny, Tommy, Keith, and Cory; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Eileen Taylor, two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Taylor, and three grandchildren, David Blagden, Flawna Massengale, and Bobby Massengale.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Crematory, Sedalia, MO.
