Jeffrey Lynn Williams, 72, of Sedalia died July 4, 2022. He had a wicked sense of humor and would appreciate us saying that he went out with a bang on the most patriotic day of the year.
He was born Sept. 8, 1949, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Frank and Louise “Babe” Clements Williams. He graduated from Smith Cotton High-school in 1967. On May 14, 1983, he married his beautiful girl, the love of his life, Carolyn McFatrich Lewis Williams, who survives of the home.
Jeff was a member of the New Bethel United Methodist Church where he served on many committees over the years, Pettis County Democrat Club, on the Board of the Senior Center, and a member of the Democrat Central Committee. He was an avid woodworker, knife collector and lifelong Chiefs fan. He retired from WireCo after 33 years. He enjoyed playing games with family and friends, never knew a stranger, was a wonderful father, and the most devoted husband.
Also surviving are three daughters, Shandi Lewis (Jeff Morris) of the home, Kami Lewis Poole (John Lautenschlager) of Parkville, Sarah Williams Cramer (Barry) of Lincoln; two sons, Troy Lewis of Sedalia, and Justin Williams (Kelly) of Blue Springs; 7 grandchildren, Cody Poole of Parkville, Jeremy Lewis (Amanda) of Sedalia, Brian Sokolowski of Gladstone, Samantha Williams (Matt Kocurek) of Blue Springs, John and Brody Cramer of Lincoln, and Legacy Struble of Warsaw; 3 great grandchildren, Aubrey Caserta, Annalise and Mason Lewis of Sedalia. He also has a brother-in-law, Jerry McFatrich (Melody) of Slidell, LA, and a very special sister-in-law, Mitzi McFatrich of Mission, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
