Jerry Warren Williams, 79, of Green Ridge, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
He was born February 20, 1943, in Sedalia, a son of the late Earl Williams and Perlie (Roark) Edgar. On July 2, 1966, in Sedalia, he married Helen P. “Penny” Williams, who preceded him in death on March 14, 2018.
Jerry was a 1961 graduate of Green Ridge High School. He served his country honorably from 1962 to 1964 in the United States Army. He retired from Alcan Cable.
Jerry enjoyed reading, and spending time with his wife going to flea markets. He was a great storyteller and enjoyed visiting with people.
Survivors include three children, Jeff Williams (Christy), of Jackson, GA, Merl Williams, of Green Ridge, and Andrew Williams (Shelly), of Sedalia; one brother, Ronald Williams (Barbara), of Windsor; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Merl Williams.
Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Green Ridge Cemetery.
