Jimmie Reul Rogers, 77, of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in   Columbia, MO.

He was born December 20, 1943 in Oklahoma City, OK, a son of JC Rogers and Neitha Kinkaid.  On November 24, 1961 he married Emma Lou Dvorak who preceded him in death on January 22, 2017.

Jimmie worked for Bemis Bag Company for many years.  He honorably served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Wesley   United Methodist Church.   Jimmie enjoyed woodworking and he made wooden rocking horses for all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Randy Rogers (Patty) of Wichita, KS; one daughter, Lisa Walker of Sedalia, MO; four grandchildren, Sarah (Zach) , Joey, Emily (George), Nathan (Tricia); six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ginger Rogers; one brother-in-law, Robert Dvorak (Judy); three nephews, Mark Rogers, Kent Rogers, and Kevin Dvorak; one niece, Penny Humphrey.

In addition to both of his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Rogers and Ken Rogers; two nephews, Kris Dvorak and James Humphrey.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sedalia.  The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Dennis Harper officiating.  Interment will be in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, KS with military honors on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wesley United Methodist Church.
