In Loving Memory

Jimmy Moore, 68, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday evening, May 7, 2013, at his home.

He was born April 25, 1945, in Williamson, WV, son of Curtis and Evelyn Robinette Moore. On June 29, 1968, in Phelps, KY, he married Phoebe Carolyn Dotson, who survives of the home.

Mr. Moore served in the United States Air Force for eight years during the Vietnam War period. He then worked in civil service at Whiteman Air Force Base as a commissary officer. He was a member and deacon of Broadway Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work and spending time with his grandchildren. He and Phoebe enjoyed traveling and had been to all fifty states. Jimmy will be remembered as a non-judgmental, helpful and caring man.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Lisa Ann Whiteman (Tommy Burgess), and Kenneth Alan Moore (Kimberly), all of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Paige, Kylee and Colten; five brothers, Ernie, Lee, Terry, Donnie and Curt; and a sister, Cathy Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Jeffrey Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Broadway Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Rob Hughes and the Rev. Dennis Haines officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Private interment will be in Houstonia Cemetery.
