Jimmy Stark

Jimmy Edwin Stark, 91, of Green Ridge, passed away, Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

He was born February 2, 1922, in Grant City, MO., son of Ross A. and Rose Olga Nutt Stark.  On June 19, 1953, in Sedalia, he married Barbara M. Aeschbacher, who survives of the home.

Mr. Stark was editor and publisher of the Green Ridge Local News for 38 years and later operated the Stark Printing Company in that city.  An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Area from October 1942 until December 1945.  A long-time member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge, he was also a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for seven years.  Mr. Stark was a former city clerk and mayor in Green Ridge.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Danny J. Stark of Houston, TX. and Jonathan R. Stark of Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death by both parents and two sisters, Willa C. Conry and Rosilea E. Myers.
