Jo Ann Jefcoat
Jo Ann Arnold Jefcoat, 86, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Sedalia.
She was born May 13, 1932 in Sweet Springs, MO, a daughter of John Ernest and Jewel M. (Payne) Garrett. Jo Ann was married to John C. Arnold who preceded her in death on May 5, 1972. She married Bob Jefcoat on February 15, 1986 in Sedalia, and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2011.
Jo Ann was a member of the First Christian Church in Sedalia. She worked for many years as a secretary for Western Auto. She enjoyed square dancing and traveling the United States in the RV with her husband Bob.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Brown (Lynn), Julie Buehler (Jim), Debbie Cullinan (Kevin); one son, J. Stephen Arnold; seven grandchildren, Justin Brown (Lisa), Jennifer Dier (Eric), Jeffrey Brown, Mollie Cullinan, Kayleigh Cullinan, Sean Cullinan and Grace Buehler; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Gregory (Marion); one niece, Melissa W. Gudde (Phil); two great-nieces, Mackenze and Tayler Gudde.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husbands.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Justin Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Sean Cullinan, Phil Gudde, Lynn Brown, Jim Buehler and Kevin Cullinan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
