Jo Ann Kellogg, 86, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born May 9, 1938, in LaMonte, a daughter of the late Eddie Lee Sprinkle and Opal Louise (Saird) Sprinkle Wheeler.
On December 14, 1955, in Stokeley, MO, she married Frederick E. Kellogg, who survives of the home.
Jo Ann was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She worked at Inter-State Studio, the unemployment office, Jones Cable, and Adco. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, and being around her family, especially her grandchildren. She could sit for hours watching the hummingbirds. She will be remembered for being strong, giving, kind, spunky, and loving.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Fredda McMahon, of Kansas City, MO, two grandchildren, Kelsey Fields (Andrew), of Independence, and Katie Wallace (Lance), of Nixa; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Oliver; a brother, Pete Wheeler (Maxine); and a sister, Helen Steele (Tony), of all of Sedalia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Sprinkle.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Broadway Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
