John Dewey Logsdon, Jr., 79 of Rolla, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Silverstone Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Rolla.
He was born February 18, 1941 in Memphis, TN, a son of John D. Sr. and Margaret Marie (McClure) Logsdon.
John honorably served in the United States Air Force retiring after 33 years of service and holding the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (CMSgt). He spent 20 years with the Knob Noster School District and was a CASA advocate. John loved golf, sports, and especially his family.
Survivors include one son, Shawn Williams and his wife Miranda of Vichy, MO; one grandson, Jonathan Chase Williams; two brothers, James C. Logsdon, and Joseph A. Logsdon; two sisters, Jerrie L. Fulbright, Martha Jane Walker; and other family, Nan, Charlie, Timmy, Shane and Lance Elwell, Morgan, Lane, Josh, Iverson, and Sierra, as well as 27 nieces and nephews.
In addition to both of his parents John was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Ann Logsdon; two brothers, Lonnie Edward Logsdon and Maurice Allen Logsdon.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the funeral home.
Burial with full military honors will be at the Knob Noster Cemetery.
