Joseph Carl Miller, 59, of Sedalia passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born November 5, 1962, in Topeka, KS, a son of Carl Eugene and Agnes Ruth (Link) Miller. On August 6, 1983, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church he married Teresa Lorenz who survives of the home.
Joe was a 1981 graduate of Sacred Heart School. He enjoyed watching but mostly playing golf and playing pool. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and would watch them anytime they were playing. Joe had a few years that he would eat breakfast at Country Kitchen every day, and then would make his way to the truck stop for some coffee.
Survivors include his wife Teresa of 38 years; one daughter, Tierra Henderson (Zackary) of Sedalia; two brothers, Robert Miller (Stephanie) of Oklahoma, Daron Miller of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Carson Heller-Henderson, and Kristopher Henderson.
In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter at birth, Amanda, and one sister Tina Miller.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
Casket bearers will be Robert Miller, Daron Miller, Zack Henderson, Tyler Miller, William Bracken, David Murray, and William Noble.
Honorary bearers will be his grandsons, Carson and Kristopher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Candace Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Since Joe was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan his wishes were for everyone to wear their Chiefs apparel to his services.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Red Cross of Sedalia.
