Joy A. Huffman
Joy Ann Huffman, 71, of Sedalia, died Wednesday evening, July 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born February 26, 1947, in Sedalia, daughter of Aaron Dee Carver and Kathryn (Mann) Carver, who preceded her in death.
On November 27, 1965, in Sedalia, Joy married Bobby Huffman, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1985.
Joy was the best mom in the world. She was strong, caring, and had a big heart. She was the glue that held her family together. She enjoyed fishing and sitting on the porch watching her garden and the birds. She also loved the dogs she had over the years. Joy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are a son, Bobby Huffman, of Sedalia; a daughter, Kathryn Staats, of Sedalia; two brothers, Tom Carver, of Oklahoma, and Mike Carver, of Jefferson City; a sister, Bonnie Castle, of Otterville; a half-sister, Nancy Carson, of Texas; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
According to Joy’s wishes, no services are planned.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
