Joyce E. Dale
Joyce Elaine Dale, 68, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit.
She was born January 10, 1955, in King City, MO, a daughter of the late Theodore and Georgie (Haack) Baslee.
Joyce was a 1973 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was a sign language interpreter for the Sedalia 200 School District.
She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her good friends, Patrick “PJ” and his mother Val.
Survivors include a son, Theodore Dale, of Sedalia; a daughter, Terri Lutjen (Adam), of Odessa; three sisters, Dixie McClymond (David), of Garden City, MO, Deana Williams and Cerita Stewart (Richard), all of Sedalia; and two grandchildren, Theodore Dale II, and Timothy Dale.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will follow at 12:00 pm (noon) to 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Richard and Cerita Stewart, 25452 Highway O, Sedalia, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
