Joyce Earlene Tagtmeyer, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born August 6, 1941, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Avery and Kathryn (Martin) Spellmeyer.
Joyce was a seamstress at Town Country Shoes when they were operating in Sedalia.
She loved gardening, going to church, and sitting on her front porch in her red Adirondack chairs.
Survivors include four children, Brian Keith Shull, of Louisville, KY, Christopher Wade Shull (Paula Shull), of Nixa, MO, Brett Owen Shull, of Palm Beach, FL and Dana Kay Fykerud (Eric Fykerud), of Bend, OR; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Shull, of Kansas City, MO; four siblings, Gary Spellmeyer, of Kansas City, MO, Louis Spellmeyer, Dennis Spellmeyer and Kathy Dilthey, all of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Anthony Shull and Jeremy Shull, of Kansas City, Lexi Shull, Spencer Shull and Gabby Shull, of Louisville, KY, Eric Fykerud, Jr, of Bend, OR, Aiken Shull, of Nixa; Faith Lynn Shull and Addison Shull, of Palm Beach, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Scott Shull, Darren Wayne Shull and a brother, Avery Spellmeyer.
A private family graveside service was held at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Flat Creek Baptist Church in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
