Joyce L. Hester
Joyce Louise Hester, 74, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born February 3, 1942, in Sedalia, the daughter of Harley and Gladys Krafton Wolfe.
Joyce was married to Lewis Lee Hester, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and worked at Zephyr Manufacturing prior to retirement.
She enjoyed bowling, but her granddaughter, Brittany, was her life. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring person.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Brittany Swearingin, of Sedalia; a grandson, Christaphor Hester, of Killeen, TX; a great-granddaughter, Scarlett; a great-grandson, Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kelvin Lee Hester.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016, at Heckart Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Honorary bearers will be Dennis Dawson and Bob Dawson.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
