Juanita Williams, 92, of Sedalia, passed away Friday morning, August 19, 2016, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born June 13, 1924, in Shackleford, daughter of Walter and Iva Mae Holden Murphy.

Juanita worked for Swift’s, Sedalia Drug, Crown Drug and Bards. She enjoyed visiting with friends and cooking, and was well known for her fried chicken. Most of all loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a very loving, caring and devoted mom and grandma and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are two children, Bob Williams (Robin), and Debby Young (Jim), all of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Wendy Merrick, Tammy Wolf, Richard Young, Melinda Strange, Maggie Williams and Caty Williams; ten great-grandchildren, Colten, Kelton, Brittany, Brian, Carson, Dylan, Colby, Hillary, Austin and Garrett; seven great-great-grandchildren, Aver’ee, Mason, Gentry, Emry, Grayson, Abby, Aleena and a baby boy on the way; and her brother, Robert Murphy, of Sedalia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood, Jack and Earl Murphy; and her sister, Etta Jean Murphy.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Austin Strange officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
