Juanita Louise Zimmerman, 71, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born December 10, 1941, in Princeville, IL, daughter of LaRue and Dorothy Van Meter Sauers. On November 21, 1981, in Sedalia, she married Charles Zimmerman, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2010.
Mrs. Zimmerman retired from Rival Manufacturing. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She showed horses for many years and was a 4-H leader. She also enjoyed flowers.
Surviving are a son, Eric England (Lisa), of Sedalia; a grandson, Alex England, of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Daryl Dority (Larry), of Jefferson City, and Susan Kohl, of Kokomo, IN; a brother, Barry Sauers, of Sedalia; two nieces; two nephews; and four great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page, Funeral Celebrant, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Alex England, Larry Dority, Matthew Dority, Bryan Surface and Steve Sauers.
Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, IL.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Fair View Nursing Home.
