June Marie Flippin passed away December 29, 2023 at the age of 92 in Clarksville, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Flippin, her granddaughter Dawn Singleton, and her half-sisters Ruth McMillian and Susie Osburn. She is survived by her children: Linda Singleton, Rick Flippin, Rhonda Wilson, and Chuck Flippin; her grandchildren Chris Singleton, Jon Singleton, Charles Flippin, Misty Flippin, Joshua Flippin, Emily Padilla, and T.J. Wilson; her great-grandchildren Chloe Singleton, Chelsea Singleton, Jackson Flippin, Xander Padilla, Melanie Padilla, Taylor Christian, and Casey Singleton; her great-great-grandchildren Maverick Christian and Witten Christian; and her half-sisters Donna Melvin, Jane Wheeler, and Judy Oglesby.

 June was born in the small town of Piasa, Illinois, but grew up, met her husband Richard Flippin, and established a family in Sedalia, Missouri. She lived in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado, but considered Texas her home where she spent most of her life.

June was widowed at the age of 35 with 4 children after having moved to Dallas, Texas. She was proud of having studied for and obtaining a Texas Real Estate Broker License while raising her family; however, most of her career was spent as a bookkeeper for Regal Plastics. She loved her family and her two dogs, Rocky and Bingo.

She was a supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and St. Jude’s Childrens hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to these charities in June’s name.

Private graveside services will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
