Kathryn Jean Younce
Kathryn Jean Younce, 65, of La Monte, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023.
She was born July 1, 1957 in Sedalia, MO, a daughter of Floyd and Mary (Calhoun) Cook. On August 14, 1999 at the La Monte Pentecostal Church she married John Younce who survives of the home.
Kathryn worked as an EMT for Pettis County and attended Freewill Baptist Church in Sedalia. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband John; four children, Lori Weekley of Boonville, Raymond Sosa of Boonville, Randy Sosa (Jennifer) of Kingsville, Teri Ingersoll (Robert) of Boonville; two brothers, Bob Cook of New Hampshire, John “Pete” Cook of Sedalia; one sister Marsha Goalder, of Sedalia; ten grandchildren, Aaron, Tyler, Alan, Raymond Joe, Seidi, Kameryn, Ally, Austin, John, Emberlinn; five great-grandchildren, Desirea, Addilyn, Byler, Payton, and Alec.
In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Debora Cook and Cherryl Phang.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, May, 9, 2023 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the La Monte Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Donor’s Choice.
