Kelly Allee Greer died February 2, 2015. Born on January 12, 1961, she was raised by grandmother Dorotha Brock, and was daughter of Peggy June Brock and Dee Greer of Sedalia, Missouri.
After receiving her Masters degrees from both University of Central Missouri, and Norwich University, Kelly followed her bliss to Southern California where she pursued a PhD at Claremont University.
In recent years, as a Women’s Studies instructor at alma mater UCM, Kelly promoted feminism, acted as a social advocate, inspired us to use our voices as tools for change, taught us the value of generosity and sacrifice, and the importance of living courageously.
Kelly is survived by children Rhiannon Dickerson, Candy Logan, Misty Logan, Delan Greer; and by grandchildren Sawyer Allee, Aiden Greer, Gaius Murphree Allee, Isabel Allen, Emerson Allee-Allen, Madison Greer; and by siblings Lily Lawson Woolery, Karla Lawson Porter, and Carl “Buddy” Lawson Jr.
Services will be held at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, Mo.
