Kenneth Wayne Thomas, 72, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born October 23, 1944, in Sedalia, the son of David and Blanche Lorraine Irwin Thomas.
On October 17, 1997, he was united in marriage to Janice K. McCurdy.
He worked in construction and was a member of Laborer’s Union 588. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for arrowheads. He loved his garden, going to the casino and making cedar furniture. Kenny was a jack of all trades and master of none.
In addition to his wife, Janice; he is survived by three sons, David E. Thomas (Lori), of Lincoln, Randy Thomas, of Sedalia, and Kevin Pahlow (Leslie), of Otterville; one daughter, Julie Casteel (Jeremy), of Sedalia; ten grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a sister, Anita Lewis; and two step brothers, Elmer and Vaughn Richardson.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Thomas; his mother, Lorraine Richardson; a son, Steven Thomas; and two brothers, Terry Thomas and David Thomas (who was killed in Vietnam).
No services are planned.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
