Larry Gene Yokum, 53, of La Monte, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born December 28, 1964, in Kansas City, the son of Lewis Fenton Yokum Jr. and Betty Louise Bass.
Larry enjoyed reading, art, fishing, watching NASCAR, and his cat, Tink. He will be remembered for being hilarious, easy going, and for his caring nature.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheyenne Yokum, of Blue Springs; his mother, Betty Maddux, of Sedalia; his father and stepmother, Lewis and Marilyn Yokum, of Kansas City; his brother, Lewis Fenton Yokum III; his step-sister, Erin; and his friend, Christy Yokum.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Yokum.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
