Lenora Faye Baugus
Lenora Faye Baugus, 74, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
She was born March 30, 1943, in Potosi, MO, daughter of the Rev. James Russell and Dorothy Leone (Evans) Berry.
On August 14, 1970, in Glendale, AZ, Lenora was united in marriage to the Rev. Randell L. Baugus.
Together they served the Lord in ministry at a number of locations over the last forty years, including Leitchfield Church of God in Kentucky, Abbeville Church of God in Louisiana, World Harvest in Trenton, OH, Lawrenceville Church of God in Illinois, El Dorado Church of God in Illinois, Rogers Lane Church of God in Lawton, OK, Valley of the Sun in Phoenix, AZ, and Poplar Bluff Church of God in Missouri. They are currently serving at Crossroads Family Worship Church of God in Sedalia. She was always involved in church administration, the ladies ministries and the music department, serving as organist and pianist.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Nathaniel Cameron.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 47 years, Randell, of the home; three children, Andrea Dawn Cope (David Jr.), James Randell Baugus (Tangela), and Kevin Wayne Baugus (Catrina); eight grandchildren, Caleb, Tiffany, Caendra, Caylin, Cole, Carolyn, Kyle and Ashlyn; and one great-grandchild, Paisley; one sibling, James Berry (Teresa); nephews, Joseph and David; and nieces, Jennifer, DeAnn, Ashley, Kimberly, Winter, and Julie.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 29. The Rev. Ira Lee Sandefer and the Rev. Thomas Powell will officiate.
Casket Bearers will be Kevin Baugus, James Baugus, David Cope, Caleb Watson, Daniel La Roche, Nick Butler, Alonso Gutierrez, and Kyle Creager.
The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Calvary Christian Center in Hamilton, OH, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park in Hamilton, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crossroads Family Worship Church of God in honor of Lenora.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO.
