Leon Henry Von Holten, 82, of Phillipsburg, MO, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, in Sedalia, MO.
He was born April 10, 1935, near Stover, MO, the son of Herbert and Josiphine (Monsees) Von Holten.
Leon served three years in the United States Army during the Korean War.
On May 21, 1958, in Emporia, VA, he was united in marriage to Bonnie G. (Howell) Von Holten.
Leon worked as a route salesman for AirGas. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Camdenton, MO. His hobbies included reading, crossword puzzles, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed life, laughing and talking with friends, and will be remembered for his orneriness.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Bonnie, of the home; a son, Neil Von Holten and his wife Sheryl, of Sedalia; and two granddaughters, Amy and Mary.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Von Holten and Craig Von Holten; and a sister, Nila Holcroft.
Services will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home, Sedalia, MO.
