Lillie Evalena Kretzer, 90, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born February 6, 1926, in Smithton, daughter of John A. and Ruth May Bolen Neitzert. On March 24, 1945, in Lone Jack, she was married to Kenneth Jesse Kretzer, who died July 11, 2015.
Mrs. Kretzer worked at Lamy Manufacturing for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of La Monte and the Central Missouri Council of the Blind. For many years she was known as the “hub cap lady” in Sedalia. She and Kenneth enjoyed going to swap meets. She also enjoyed gambling, playing Bingo and traveling. She loved her family and her dogs, Keto and Bandi.
Surviving are a son, James K. Kretzer (Cindy), of Sedalia; a grandson, Kenneth James Kretzer, of Hughesville; a great-grandson, Kris; and two great-great grandchildren, Peyton and Grayson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Ruth Kretzer; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 2, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawrence Chappell officiating.
Casket bearers will be Steve Cline, Chris Cline, Harry Hoover, Jason Hoover, Dan Gertz, Michael Gertz and Austin Cline.
Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Mosby and Donald Prall.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Central Missouri Council of the Blind.
