Lillie Mae Hieronymus

Lillie Mae Hieronymus, 84, of Longwood, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at I-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs.

Lillie was born on March 28, 1933, in Sedalia, the daughter of Garland and Laura (Zumalt) Anderson.

On March 28, 1954, in Henry County, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Samuel Hieronymus, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2009.

Lillie was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, reading, traveling and shopping.  She loved spending time with her family. She was always joking and was known to speak her mind.

She is survived by one son, Sam Hieronymus (Jill), of Longwood; three daughters, Gail Ann Hieronymus, Tracy Lee Burlingame (James), and Laura Jean Hieronymus, all of Longwood; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie, Donnie and Gary Anderson; and two sisters, Patricia Barklage and Pauline Adams.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sam, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Steve, Boone and Billy Anderson; and two sisters Mary Meek and Margaret Bishop.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andrew Anderson officiating.

Casket bearers will be Samuel Hieronymus, Isaac Briggs, Shawn Burlingame, Matthew Burlingame, Joshua Butterfield and Bryan Eager.

Honorary casket bearers will be Daniel Hieronymus, Antonio Belton and Isaac Limas.

Burial will be in Longwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army.

There will be a luncheon at Sam and Jill’s house following the burial.
