Lorine Lee Austin, 72, of Sedalia, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at her home.

Lorine was born on January 30, 1945, in Sedalia, daughter of Carl and Pearl Heuerman.

Lorine attended school in Sedalia elementary through high school. Her places of employment were Lamy’s, Nu-Way Café, Maxine’s, Rest Haven, Sedalia Senior Center, Alibi In, Tyson’s and Wheel-In Drive-In.

She was united in marriage to Loy Austin and he preceded her in death.

Lorine was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she was the church organist. She cherished and loved both her family and church family very much and helped everyone in any way she possibly could.She was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved to knit and crochet and donated most of her beautiful handiwork to those in need. She was kind, generous and caring, and will be loved and remembered by many.

Survivors include her brother, Bill Heuerman, and wife Connie; her sister, Pat Brandkamp, and husband John; many nephews and nieces; and many, many friends.

In addition to her husband Loy, shewas preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pearl Heuerman; brother, John Carl “Jack” Heuerman; and nephew, Richard Brandkamp.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jeremy Freeman officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
