Louella Marie Goodson, 86, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
She was born June 1, 1927, in Cole Camp, daughter of Ernest Delbert and Mary Gladys Kepler Bormann. On April 21, 1947, in Louisburg, KS, she married Walter Lee Goodson, who preceded her in death on February 27, 1977.
Louella worked at Lamy’s, worked as a waitress and sold L.B. Price. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Senior Center, making peanut brittle and crocheting. She was a member of the Sedalia Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving are four children: Linda Collins, Jerry Goodson (Shelly), Judy Pickard (Jim), and Sharon Goodson, all of Sedalia; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Goodson; two grandchildren; and three brothers: Edward, Melvin “Jake”, and Delbert “Shorty.”
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Houstonia Cemetery, with Chaplain Bill Douglas officiating.
Casket bearers will be Bobby Snow, David Goodson, Darrin Goodson, Donnie Sayers, Danny Sayers and Joel Stolte.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home.
