Lucille Burns Lewis, 95 was born September 4, 1922, in Platte County, Missouri to Robert S. and Abbie (Layton) Burns. She passed away November 6

2017, at Four Seasons Living Center in Sedalia, MO.
Lucille attended school at Weston, graduating from high school in 1940. She received a B.S. Degree from Northwest Missouri State University and taught school in Platte County for 23 years. She was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association as well as the National Education Association. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Camdenton, MO.
She married Wilbur L. Lewis on March 23, 1982. They moved to Sedalia, MO in August 1983 where they made their home. Her husband passed away July 24, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant brother Ruben Burns; sisters Nannie Sophia Vaughn, Mary Walton Kline and Myrtle Lee Burns; nephews Robert E. Kline and Edward Allen “Boogie” Kline.
Cremation Services by Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO and burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
