Lynellen O'Neill

Lynellen "Lynn" O'Neill, 70, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Lynn was born on July 30, 1954 in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of William and Blanche Jeanine (Jones) O'Neill.

Lynn worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at many different hospitals across Kansas City, and she also served as the school nurse for the Sedalia 200 School District. Lynn was the beloved matriarch of her family, devoted family member and was known for her stubbornness. Lynn was a force to be reckoned with, and she was the life of the party who never met a stranger.

Lynn found joy in gardening, sewing, craft projects and doing home renovations. She was also an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of a good book.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly O'Neill of Sedalia; five siblings, Margie Cale Walters (Don) of Centertown, MO, Michael O'Neill (Evelyn) of Monument, CO, Kathleen O'Neill of the Lake of the Ozarks, Debbie O'Neill of Hughesville, MO, and Patrick O'Neill of Sedalia, MO; one grandson, Trent Lewis (Heather); two great-granchildren, Brayden Hill and Kimberlynn Lewis; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to both of her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas O'Neill.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter, Sedalia Open Door Sedalia Public Library and Boonslick Regional Library.
