Marilyn F. Otten, 73, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at Bothwell Regional Health Center surrounded by family and friends.
She was born October 24, 1949, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late William and Berdell (Young) Campbell. On February 19, 1976, in Sedalia, she was married to Bobbie L. Otten, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2005.
Marilyn was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She and her husband owned and operated Otten Bail Bonding and Otten & Son Trucking. Her favorite profession was being a homemaker. She loved her family and caring for her grandkids.
She enjoyed going to craft shows, collecting Cabbage Patch dolls, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and going to the Missouri State Fair.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Campbell (Martha), of Sedalia; and three grandsons, Kaleb, Corey and William.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Acton.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
