Mark Dwain McDonald, 59, of Sedalia, died Monday, March 5, 2018, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

He was born March 23, 1958, in Sedalia, to William “Bill” Armstrong and Deloris (Knoles) Allen. He was raised by his adoptive parents, John and Audrey McDonald.

Mark worked for 35 years at Sedalia Outdoor Sports. He knew everything there was to know about fishing and hunting, and enjoyed both of those hobbies. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and enjoyed spending time at the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club.

He later worked in maintenance at Heber Hunt Elementary and Smith-Cotton High School.

He was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and the Shriners.

Mark was baptized at the Stewart Avenue Church of Christ. He will be remembered as a generous and caring man with a big heart.

Surviving are three sisters, Debra Hostetter Ward, of Smithton, Tammy Wimmer, of Oak Grove, and Leanna Powers, of Edwards; several nieces and nephews; and cousins including Robert Knapp and John Knapp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Keith Corbett; and a nephew, Jordon Powers.

Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Boatman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Honorary bearers will be Dave Woolery, Robert Knapp, John Knapp, Adam Hendricks, Chuck Johnson and Curt Wimmer.

Memorials are suggested to Sedalia Rod and Gun Club.
