Marlene Bessie Patch, 86, of Sedalia, died Friday, September 18, 2020, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born November 8, 1933, in Boonville, daughter of James and Lavesta (Bryan) Summerskill.
On April 8, 1982, she married Robert Dean Patch, who preceded her in death on August 10, 2017.
Marlene worked as a waitress in her younger years. She then worked with Continental Steel and was a member of United Steel Workers. Later she worked as a home health aide.
Marlene enjoyed reading and gardening. She was an independent person but would help anyone in time of need.
Surviving are a son, Alex Collins and his wife Brenda, of Sedalia; an aunt, Virginia Patch; and a cousin, Peggy Patch.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elrod and Rex; and two sisters, Joann and Vida.
No services are planned.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
